Hermosa Arts & History Association (HAHA), organized in 1999, seeks to preserve our local history; educate our youth; promote visual, written, and performing arts in Hermosa; and involve the community in all of these efforts.
We strive to bring together residents of the greater Hermosa area to create a cohesive community based on our appreciation for each other's unique experiences, cultures, traditions, and histories-- and our common humanity. We are an all-volunteer organization with many active members who live in, or have ties to, Hermosa and eastern Custer County, South Dakota. As you can tell from our acronym we also have a lot of fun. |
HAHA's Next Great Event HAHA Member Meeting Monday, April 15, 2024 at the HAHA Museum Usually our member meeting is the second Monday of the month, but in April we will meet the third Monday to accommodate members' schedules. If you're at all interested in what HAHA will be up to in 2024, and would like to volunteer all year or just occasionally, we welcome you to join us. Stop in and see the Museum renovations, sign up to help with the upcoming Mother's Day Open House or the June fundraiser auction, and have some fun. Our name is HAHA by choice. Museum Hours
Due to ongoing renovations, delayed by the pandemic and subsequent labor shortages, the HAHA Museum is not yet open on a regular basis. Check our website Events Page for the dates of any open house, or send us an email to request a special tour. HAHA Meetings HAHA members gather at 6:30 pm, the second Monday of every month, at the Hermosa Town Office basement meeting room, next door to the HAHA Museum. (Occasionally the meeting is changed to accommodate members' schedules. Check our website Events Page, our Facebook page, or ask to be put on our email list to be sure you are notified of date and location.) New members are welcome! All new members will be encouraged to join one (or more) of the many active HAHA committees that keep the organization running. Or you can help briefly with any project that interests you, or you can suggest something. HAHA would love to have volunteers in the Arts! |
